Check out this current and wicked video of the Rotoiti Lodge building – filmed December 2020
Sleeping
Rotoiti Lodge offers accommodation for 74 people split across 2 floors in 8 dormitory style rooms.
The 8 dormitories consist of 60 bunk beds and 6 single beds. There are also 2 three-person rooms with en-suites on each of the two floors and a two-person room with an en-suite adjacent to the main hall.
All beds have mattresses, but no linen so you will need to bring your own. We recommend a base sheet, sleeping bag and pillow, plus an extra blanket if you are prone to the cold.
We now also have some tents available for extra sleeping space. Contact the lodge for more information on this
The Hall
The Lodge has a large main hall suitable for dining and group activities. The flooring is split into a carpeted area and a vinyl floor for dining. Furniture for your comfort, feel free to move it around to suit you
Opening up from the hall are some large sliding doors that open up to a large deck. Making for a great indoor outdoor flow.
Getting Clean
On each floor there is a toilet and shower block and also a drying room to dry out those damp clothes from a good day in the park.
Eating
The commercial kitchen was installed July 2019. It is equipped with enough basic cutlery and utensils for up to 100 people. There is also a walk in refrigerator, large double door freezer, two large ovens with cooking elements and a large extractor hood over the top, 2 sinks, a large toaster, a hot water boiler, a microwave and a commercial dishwasher. The floor is non slip lino and there are drop power cords to make life that much happier.
Equipment is supplied by us for you to clean up after each meal to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
Extra Space
There is a classroom area that can be hired with the hall and used as a study or break out room or hired separately as a meeting room or conference venue. Just let us know if you wish to hire this area out. An extra per day cost applies of $350.
Keeping Warm
The heating of the lodge has been updated and is now efficiently heated with heat pumps throughout the lodge.
The entire lodge is now double glazed! Which makes those winter evenings oh so much warmer.
Tidying up
Supplies to tidy the lodge are included in the hire price as well as dish-washing liquid, tea towels and toilet supplies. It is the hirers responsibility to clean the lodge prior to departure (see conditions of hire for details).
Rubbish
We try and recycle as much as we can at the lodge. There are separate bins for all recyclables and also a food scraps bin which gets recycled through some local pigs.
For food scrapes and recycling there is no charge (as long as these are done correctly) and a small charge for rubbish bags you wish to leave behind for us to dispose of.
